Messages from Galata Bridge (2025, Istanbul-Ongoing)

This project looks at Galata Bridge as a vibrant, collective space, a site of belonging, where daily life and tourists intersect. Amid the movement of trams, ferries, and pedestrians, the railings of the bridge reveal handwritten messages addressed to the city itself; warm, playful, dialogic notes reflecting personal thoughts and feelings. Through documenting these messages, the project explores the bridge as a fragile, conditional, and unscalable site of urban belonging, over time.
